Blanche Ainslie “Betty” Nichol was born at Ballarat, to Robert William Nichol and Ethel Coombe Hattam, on September 16, 1898. The family soon after resided at Clunes. She married Lionel Cuthbert Grimwade on September 3, 1924, at Christ Church in South Yarra. Betty passed away in Melbourne on August 6, 1973. She was buried at Clunes Cemetery on the 8th.
